This is a rare vintage mini dress designed by Rudi Gernreich in the 1960's. This navy blue wool knit dress was designed for Harmon Knitwear. The dress has interesting cut-outs at the shoulders, side slit pockets, and closes with a back zipper and a hook and eye.

Rudi Gernreich became famous for inventing the thong and for his topless swimwear pieces. His designs were were often misunderstood as provocative, when in reality, Gernreich was making an early visionary who promoted unisex fashion.

You can wear this dress in the day or in the evening, depending on how you choose to accessorize! This dress is labeled a vintage size 6 and has a 3" hem and a 1" seam allowance. Please use the measurements as a guide for the best fit.
